SURVEY SAYS�
You may remember that last fall the Super Committee conducted a survey of all Supers to determine what the priorities of the Super Committee should be. There was good response and the committee has been studying the information provided by the survey. At the joint meeting of the outgoing and incoming committee members, the results were adopted as the guiding principles for the committee. In addition to planning the annual party and undertaking fundraising events to offset the costs, the top five responses were�
1. Act as a sounding board for suggestions and concerns of the Supers
2. Represent the Supers to the San Francisco Opera
3. Provide information to Supers
4. Encourage appropriate behavior and discipline among the Supers
5. Provide leadership to the Super corps
Each year the Super Committee may choose to interpret these priorities differently, but some of the suggested plans of action include�
1.
Act as a sounding board for suggestions and concerns of
the Supers
A. Provide an email link to the Super Committee to receive feedback and suggestions
B. Post notices encouraging Supers to contact the Super Committee with questions or concerns
C. Committee members should solicit feedback from fellow Supers
2.
Represent the Supers to the San Francisco Opera
A. Invite the Super Coordinator to the Super Committee meetings on a regular basis
B. Invite other members of the San Francisco Opera administration from time to time to convey the concerns of the Supers
C. Represent the Supers at company functions
3.
Provide information to Supers
A. Keep the website up to date
B. Maintain the Super email list
C. Send occasional informational email to all Supers
4.
Encourage appropriate behavior and discipline among the
Supers
A. Post information in the Super dressing rooms
B. Remind Supers of the expectations when necessary
C. Committee members should model the behavior expected of Supers
D. Update and distribute the Super Manual
5.
Provide leadership to the Super Corps
A. This will be achieved by accomplishing #1-4.
