San Francisco Opera Artists to Perform Benefit
at the Marin Showcase Theater on March 3rd

Members of the San Francisco Opera, Orchestra and Ballet, and the San Francisco Boys Chorus will perform in Cavalcade of Stars, a benefit concert at the Marin Civic Center Showcase Theater, Saturday, March 3rd at 7:00 p.m in San Rafael.

Professionals from the San Francisco performing arts community and other local artists will present a wide variety of classical vocal and instrumental favorites, including works for the harpsichord, piano, violin, and clarinet.

Frederick Matthews, member of the San Francisco Opera Chorus for 23 years and Music Teacher at Coleman Elementary School in San Rafael has orchestrated this event to help raise funds to support the music program at Coleman. Working with the PTA, Mr. Matthews works tirelessly to overcome budget shortages to give every student the opportunity to enrich their educational experience through music.

Tickets are $55 per person and include pre- and post- champagne receptions. Black tie optional. Following the performance there will be hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to meet the cast. All proceeds from the concert will go directly towards maintaining and growing the Music Program at Coleman Elementary School.

For further information or to purchase tickets by phone, call 415 499-6800. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Marin Center Box Office in San Rafael or online.
