Louis Schilling stars in Present Laughter - Noel Cowards' hilarious farce
Here's
how Actors Ensemble of Berkeley describes the show:
Enter Garry Essendine, actor extraordinaire.
Flamboyant, vain and devastatingly handsome, Essendine
is the unwilling object of severe infatuation. So when he prepares for
an extended tour,
he finds himself cajoled by practically everyone he knows—and
has to juggle ex-wife, business partners, servants, adoring fans, flings
and more—and wriggle free of the stage he’s set for himself!
An audacious comedy with dazzling wit and repartee—you’ll
laugh from start to finish.
Shows 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays October 22 to November 20 and Thursday,
November 18.
Special benefit matinee on Sunday, November 14 at 2 p.m.; 50% of proceeds
go to AIDS Project East Bay.
All performances at the Live Oak Theatre (1301 Shattuck Ave. at Berryman)
in Berkeley.
Tickets: $10 (Discounts for groups of 15 or more); $8 for students/seniors
on Thursday, Nov. 18
