Graham Vick Gives Alloy Homework

Tannhäuser director Graham Vick treats Supers as actors, on an equal basis with the other performers. As a result, he expects all Supers to know the the libretto in translation. When new Super, Alloy, das weiße Wunderpferd, displayed some nervousness at his first orchestra rehearsal, Mr. Vick suggested that Alloy go home and become as comfortable with the material as the other Supers were.
