            Kimberly Thompson

            Rob Wonder

Carrie Murphy was present. Kimberly served as Chair and Priscilla served as Secretary.

Kimberly called the meeting to order at 6:40 pm.

The minutes of the January 31, 2005, meeting were read and approved.

Financial Report

The Financial Report was not, so there was no report for this meeting.  In the absence of the printed report, Irene gave the pertinent data: at December 31, 2004, the balance was $1089.65; in addition, we had deposits from Fort Mason and donations made in memory of Jim Downey for a new balance of $1255.56.

Old Business

Newsletter in hard copy:  Mike suggested that we provide a bulleted list of major events and information for hard copy subscribers, with the intention of eventually phasing out the hard copy altogether. It was suggested that this might be for the next committee to consider.  Carrie reported that there was no record of how many still need to receive hard copies. Mike noted that hes had several e-mailed announcements bounced back, so perhaps people werent updating their addresses with the Committee.

Garage sale:  Paul gave an update from Charlie who confirmed April 30 for the sale. Susan offered to pick up stuff with her station wagon. Drop-offs at Charlies house (27th and Sanchez) can be made beginning Monday, April 25.  Volunteers are needed to price merchandise as well as someone to organize staffing.  Paul offered to be coordinator.  Susan will co-chair unless shes on a trip.   Rob offered to be there early to set up. Mike will make a poster for the sale to be posted at the Opera House.

Bake Sales:  A discussion of dates for the next bakes sales yielded the following:  July 3 (Pearl Fishers), June 19 (Queen of Spades), July 10 (Cosi fan tutte).

New Business

Elections for new Committee members:  Key dates for the upcoming elections for new Committee members were briefly discussed.

Super party:  Susan reported on the field trip to the Golden Gate Yacht Club attended by all Committee members except Priscilla.  A friend of Susans is a member of the Club and will sponsor us so that we could use the facility for free on certain dates.  Susan discussed the specifics of using the Clubcaterer requirements, use of the Clubs bar and corkage fee; workers compensation and liability insurance requirements for outside caterer.  All members who visited the Club agreed that it was an attractive and desirable facility for our party.

Dates for the party were discussed to maximize the opportunity to use the Club without charge or at half price on non-free dates. Three dates were decided on to request for the party:  November 20, December 4, and December 1.

Upcoming season:  Carrie gave an update on casting for the fall season, but there wasnt much news.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30.

The next meeting will be April 25, 2005, at 6:30 pm in the 4th floor conference room of the Opera House. Susan will act as chair.
