Minutes of the March 3, 2004, meeting were read and approved. Two dates in
those minutes were incorrect due to a scriveners error: previous minutes
should be dated January 7, 2004, and one of the dates of the Super Party should
be December 5, 2004. The Financial Report was accepted.
Financial
Report: There was no change to the
bank account since the last meeting; our balance is $797.52 as of April 19,
2004.
Garage
Sale: The need for people to price
items for the garage sale on April 24 was discussed. Several people
volunteered.
Committee
Elections: The Committee discussed Andrews draft of the invitation for
nominations for the upcoming elections. Carrie confirmed that she would make
the labels for the ballots. Dates for steps in the process are May 1, letter
goes out to supers; June 1, receive ballots; June 15, count ballots. Susan will
bring stamps and Andrew has stickers.
Bake
Sale: The next Bake Sale is scheduled
at the June 13 La Bohme matine. The possibility of holding two bake sales in
June was discussed, but the second one was vetoed. Carrie suggested that we post more flyers around the opera
house for the bake sales to increase attendance. This led to a discussion of
how to increase the number of bake sales and other fund-raising activities.
Tom
Carlisle: Requested $27 to cover
expenses relating to the scrapbooks he assembles. His request was approved.
Super
Party: Paul reported on the progress
of his work with Fort Mason. He said that the Fort Mason people were receptive
to his suggestion of doing a trade for the use of the room.
Union
negotiations: Carrie reported on the
status of union negotiations with the chorus and other artists.
Super
Database: Carrie talked about the two
super databasesone is archival with lots of information on each production;
the other one is the database for Carries use to cast supers.
The

The
next meeting will be May 17, 2004, at 6:30 pm in the 4th floor
